(AU)^iesThe benign Fibrohistocytomas is a tumor known with many denominations; it is a benign dermic proliferation of fibroblasts and histiocytes. The benign Fibrohistiocytomas is supported by a hypothesis that considers them to be pure histiocytic tumors. Some Fibrohistiocytomas have fibroblastic faculties. Its nomenclature classifies them is histiocytomas, fibrohistiocytomas (fibroxantomas) and tumors are called pleomorfic fibriohistiocitoma and can be benign or malignant. Ogura and Colbs presented very interesting studies related to benign and malign tumors. Those studies included about 8 cases dealing with larynx, the nasal cavity and the paranasal sinus. A clinic case of benign mastoides fibrohistiocytomas is presented. The case shows a sintomatology that makes the fibrohistiocytomas appear more like a colesteatoma than a tumor. The sintomatology includes histiocytes, fibroblasts, lipids and colesterina crystals, hemosiderine and also giant cells. This sintomatology conducted to histiopatologic confusion. The treatment adopted included surgical exéresis, which is recommended by all authors. Neveratheless, the radioactive therapy seems to be useful, since tumors are radiosensibles but not radiocurables. (AU)^ien.
